Biscuit Tournament Round 2
It is hard to believe, but today's Biscuit tournament was even better than last week's!

In the savory side of the competition:
Cheddar Jalapeño (CJ): Cheddar and Jalapeno biscuit topped with cream cheese fluff and pepper jelly by Kelly Koffler
VS
Basil & Onion (BO): Basil Biscuit with Onion Jam by Kathy Houck
In the sweet side of the competition:
Cardamom Craze (CC): Cardamom steeped raisins in a spiced biscuit topped with spiced apples and honey goat cheese.
VS
Date Night (DN): Chocolate biscuit with chocolate chips and cinnamon topped with a raspberry fluff by Sylvia Pinegar.

DN: Chocolate biscuits are so much stinkin' fun
The Savory Category was a life altering experience. I wish I could vote for both but since I can't... BO gets my vote! The sweet caramelized onions perfectly complement the fresh basil baked into every bite.
CC tastes like breakfast with a 'B'.
CJ: Pepper Jelly in my Belly! Cheese & Japs are two things you can't go wrong with!
BO: Would be perfect with a piece of deer meat!
CC: Raisins are the light of my life!
CJ: I really loved both, but a pepper jelly is my jam (no pun intended).
Holy Cow! That BO biscuit is fine! It is tasty and decadent with a fine layer of sophistication!
Great deep deep chocolate found in DN...and that pink fluff, though!!!
DN: Très Magnifique!
CC: This is a very unfair thing to do to a person-- Make them decide between world class biscuits. But any time sweet apples come into play, I am coerced by their gravitas, and then there is cardamom... (Mind Blown) [hand drawn picture of smiley face with mind blown should also be noted]
CJ: The Pepper Jelly was the perfect accoutrement to the cheddar jalapeño which could have seemed mediocre without it!
