Joey Rice has her work hanging in the Greenhouse shop for the month of April.
There is a reception April 1, 6-9 PM with music by Dallas Fly.
Please join us as we celebrate Joey Rice's amazing cloud scapes! She has made some small ones to fit in our tiny space!
"Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I hadn't stumbled onto a giant cache of library catalog cards that were being discarded, to make way for computers. Made of archival cotton rag, they offered endless possibilities for an artist on a tight budget with a yen for recycling. How could I resist?
Twenty five years and a giant learning curve later, I'm still at it, though a MAC grant provided an upgrade in materials; from catalog cards and Rit dye to cotton linters and aqueous dispersed pigment, I find it remains a challenge to push this medium as far as I can." - Joey Rice
