The GREAT BISCUIT TOURNAMENT 2018 ROUND 10!
On the sweet side of the competition:
DON’T STOP TIL YOU GET ENOUGH (DS) by: Natalea Thomson: Vanilla Oreo Biscuit with White Chocolate Fluff and Oreo Crumbles.
VS
DARK CHOCOLATE TRUFFLE (DC) by Anna Cofer: Dark Chocolate Chip Biscuit with Salted Caramel Fluff.
On the savory side of the competition:
PEACEFULLY PROVINCIAL (PP) By Zabe Premo: Herb de Provence, Lemon & Currant Biscuit with Lavender and Chive Goat Fluff.
CHEESE CRACKER ATTACKER (CC) By Mary Sukiennik: Rice Krispy Cheddar Biscuit with Green Onion Parmesan Fluff.
HERE IS WHAT YOU THOUGHT OF THE BISCUITS:
CC: While the “Peacefully Provincial” is anything but, the addition of the currants makes it too sweet to truly compete with the crispy crunchiness of the cracker attacker!
DC: Subtle notes of caramel mingled with bright sea salt undercut the richness of the dark chocolate for an excellent sweet choice.
CC: The sharpness of the green onions and umami of the parmesan brilliantly complementing the salty biscuit. I wanted more than snack-size.
CC: Cheese Cracker Taste Bud Attacker! Cheese=win!
DS: Like an Oreo cookie cloud in my mouth!
PP: Violently explosive flavors.
DS: WIT OUT OREO CRUMBLES THIS BISCUIT WOULD HAVE BEEN KNOCKED OUT BY THE CHOC ON CHOC ONSLAUGHT OF DARK CHOCOLATE. CRUNCH WINS THE DAY!!!!
DS: I can’t stop…because I can’t get enough.
PP: So peaceful. Namaste.
CC: Can I have all 4 be this one?
DC: Exploding with flavor to get you up and going. The dark blends well with the salted caramel.
CC: Light and full of flavor. This is the perfect biscuit to enjoy on a lazy morning.
PP: Lemon zest really made the biscuit pop with flavor!
PP: Loved the lemon/lavendar!!!
CC: PP WAS SUBTLE BUT THIS MOIST DAY I WAS ALL ABOUT THE CHEESE CRACKER! SOLID RICE CRISPY CHEDDAR CHIVE KICK!
DC: you had me at dark chocolate & caramel. Delectable
PP: Fragrantly flavorful!
DS: Solid biscuit! Love the balance between sweet white chocolate and milder vanilla. Oreos were a great choice!
PP: So many levels of flavors. The lavender fluff worked well with the lemon and herb in the biscuit… and the chive was just enough pep without being overwhelming.
DS: LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!
PP: The lavender biscuit is so exotically lovely!
DS: I like it because I was feeling it. It brings the light to me!
PP: I love it. I just love it! I love the lemon zest. I can smelt and it smells great.
