RECIPES AND MODIFICATIONS FOR THE GREENHOUSE BISCUIT MIX:
Blueberry Lemon Biscuits with Lemon Glaze
EVERYONE loves blueberry lemon. This is an easy crowd pleaser for an easy, lazy Saturday morning or brunch with your friends!
ONE BAG OF BISCUIT MIX ALONG WITH WITH THESE Extra ingredients:
Zest of 1 lemon
⅔ c sugar
2 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 cup blueberries (frozen or fresh)
For the Glaze:
1 tbls. lemon juice
2 cups powdered sugar
Gather all equipment, butter, water as directed. After separating your flour mixture, add ⅔ c sugar and lemon zest to the medium bowl of dry ingredients and mix in your butter as directed. Toss in the blueberries and give a quick stir to coat. Stir in the vanilla and water as directed and continue on with the recipe from the back of the bag.
While these are baking, mix the powdered sugar and lemon juice in a bowl to make the glaze. After your remove the baked biscuits from the oven spoon glaze over warm biscuits.
Cinnamon Pecan and Goat Cheese Biscuits
If this doesnt scream fall without the pumpkin I dont know what does! These warm, spiced biscuits are just bougie enough to bring to that office breakfast to show off!
ONE BAG OF BISCUIT MIX ALONG WITH WITH THESE Extra ingredients:
2 tsp. Cinnamon
1tsp. Ginger (optional)
Pinch of Nutmeg (optional)
⅔ c. sugar
2 tsp. Vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
6 oz goat cheese
Gather all equipment, butter, water as directed. After separating your flour mixture, add ⅔ c sugar and spices to the medium bowl of dry ingredients and mix in your butter as directed. Crumble the goat cheese into the bowl and stir to coat with flour, then using your fingers or pastry cutter, cut it into the mix just like you did the butter. Stir in the vanilla and water as directed and continue on with the recipe from the back of the bag.
If you wanna be a little extra, drizzle with honey when they come out of the oven!
Chocolate Chip Biscuits with peanut butter “icing” if you're feelin’ it!
This is the ULTIMATE CROWD PLEASER.
ONE BAG OF BISCUIT MIX ALONG WITH WITH THESE Extra ingredients:
⅔ c. sugar
2 cups of your favorite chocolate chips (DO NOT SKIMP HERE. It’s super important to have great chocolate.)
1 TBLS vanilla extract
Gather all equipment, butter, water as directed. After separating your flour mixture, add ⅔ c sugar to the medium bowl of dry ingredients and mix in your butter as directed. Stir in chocolate chips. Add vanilla and water and continue on with the recipe from the back of the bag.
For the Peanut butter icing:
1 cup peanut butter
½ cup powdered sugar
½ cup cream cheese, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
Add all ingredients to the bowl of a stand mixer and beat until fluffy. OR. Add all ingredients to a bowl and use a hand held mixer to beat until fluffy.
Spread on baked biscuits while they're still warm.
BLUEBERRY LEMON MUFFINS
WHO KNEW biscuit mix makes THE BEST Muffins?! (makes 24 normal sized or 12 large muffin cups.
ONE BAG OF BISCUIT MIX ALONG WITH WITH THESE Extra ingredients:
2 eggs
1.5 cups oil
OMIT THE BUTTER
2.5 cups sugar
1 tbls vanilla
2 cups water
Zest of 2 lemons
2 cups blueberries (fresh or Frozen)
Sparkle sugar (optional)
Preheat oven to 350.
-line 6 large muffin cups or 12 regular sized muffin cups and set aside.
Dump all of the biscuit mix into a bowl and add the sugar. Add the lemon zest and blueberries and toss gently.
In a separate bowl combine the eggs, oil, vanilla and whisk until lighter in color. Stir in the water.
Add wet mixture to the dry and stir until just combined. Fill each muffin cup ¾ with the mix and sprinkle sparkle sugar over the top if using. Bake for 15 minutes and turn, then bake for another 15 minutes or until done. Let cool for 15 minutes then move to a wire rack to finish cooling. joy
