Gather your implements and pour the mix into a bowl. Don’t forget to reserve a little for dusting the work surface and for working the dough before cutting the biscuits.
Put the small pieces of butter in the mix. Using your fingers in a pinching motion or a pastry cutter, work the butter into the flour and break the butter into smaller pieces.
This is what the butter should look like when you are done mixing it into the flour. The pieces of butter should be no bigger than a dime and no smaller than an eraser
Add the water. DO NOT OVER MIX! It should be shaggy with veins of flour running though the dough.
Gently pat the dough into a rectangle.
Cut the dough into 12 biscuits.
Bake until golden! Enjoy!
